Brazilians in Rio are supporting the awareness campaign of Iranian Baha'is imprisoned for their Faith. In the US, the "Education Under Fire" campaign being toured with actor, Rainn Wilson, is calling attention to the additional violation of the right to an education being denied to Iranian Baha'i youth. In an effort to provide Rio has diligently mobilized its' citizens to respect religious diversity. For three centuries, the Baha'i Faith in Iran has suffered on-going persecution. With the establishment of the UN Declaration on Human Rights, the persecution of the religious rights of citizens means that Iran has been a relentless violator of those rights and ignores its obligations as a member of the family of nations. Fear of education/learning=freedom

In Iran, members of the Baha'i Faith who are educators are being imprisoned. Why? Is there a link between true liberty, training the human intellect, and the growing needs for higher education training in every nation? Why would any nation that seeks true prosperity for all of its citizens, use religious prejudice to persecute professional educators? In "educators Under Fire", actor Rainn Wilson speaks for educational freedom. There is a link between knowledge and freedom- a universal human right.
